Kristin Wiese Hefty, AIA, LEED AP – Partner and Project Architect
Kristin holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to forming Wiese Hefty Design Build she worked for several leading architecture firms, including Leeser Architecture and Kohn Pederson Fox in New York and Lake|Flato Architects in San Antonio. Kristin is a fully licensed architect, a member of the American Institute of Architects and a LEED (Leaders in Energy and Environmental Design) accredited professional.
Clay Hefty – Partner and Construction Manager
Clay Hefty has a business degree from Baylor University and over 15 years experience in large project implementation, accounting, and auditing. Clay’s thoughtful and detailed-oriented approach ensures projects are implemented correctly, on-time and within budget. His primary responsibilities are estimating, maintaining construction costs, communicating project schedule and status updates to clients, processing sub-contractors and permitting. He also ensures projects follow standardized processes and controls and handles construction audits and risk management.
Ryan P. Schmidt – Project Designer
Ryan Schmidt completed a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio as well as a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree and a Graduate Certificate in Historic Preservation from the same alma mater. With over 5 years of experience working in the Architecture and Historic Preservation fields, Ryan has obtained a wide range of experience allowing him to address the different needs of each project. Ryan is involved with projects from start to finish, helping with programming, concept design, creating schematic design documents and construction documents as well as aiding in construction administration.
Robert M. Greene – Project Designer
Robert Greene earned a degree in architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and has been involved in a large variety of projects, including assisted living, senior housing and large military and government facilities, as well as telecommunication centers, interior build-outs, restaurants, and multi-family housing. His software expertise includes Autodesk Revit Architecture, MEP and Structure, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and 3D Studio Max.
Alex Whitaker – Project Designer
Alex Whitaker has a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Texas A&M University with a focus in environmental design. He has worked with some of the country's best architects and developers and is an expert in 3-D modeling generating life-like renderings for many prestigious projects in Central Texas. Using Autodesk Revit, Adobe Photoshop, 3D Studio Max, and AutoCAD, he is able to advance drawings from the conceptual stage to 3-D realization, along with the detailed documents needed for construction.
